The Building Services Division manages and coordinates the plan review, permitting and inspection of private construction projects in accordance with the City of Lewisville ordinances and adopted Building Codes.

For all permitting and inspection requests, the City of Lewisville has launched MyGovernmentOnline. To apply online or to request an inspection, please visit MyGovernmentOnline.

Next Day Inspections

"Next Day" inspections must be requested through MyGovernmentOnline prior to 3 p.m. Inspections requested for Monday must be submitted before 10 a.m. on Friday. 

Remote Video Inspections

To facilitate the inspection of minor yet critical repairs, some inspections are eligible to be completed as a remote video inspection using a video steaming app on a smart device. The Building Inspector will perform the inspection remotely while communicating with the contractor on a live video call. Please review the Remote Video Inspection (RVI) Program guidelines for complete details and requirements.

Monday-Thursday: 7:30-8 a.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30-8 a.m.

Inspections Hours (field work):

Monday-Thursday: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Friday: 8-11:30 a.m.

Lewisville City Hall:

Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
