Adoption Information
All adoptable animals can be visited during normal business hours which are as follows.
Monday: Appointment only
Tuesday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday - Friday: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
Adoption Process and Instructions
To view our adoptable animals, use the tabs below. For more information on a specific animal, select the animal's picture or name. If interested in a specific pet, select the pet's picture or name to view additional details and follow the unique URL given in the pet's description to begin the online adoption application. Here's an example screenshot.
Once the application has been submitted, Lewisville Animal Services will call the applicant on or before the next business day. While on the phone and if approved, staff will counsel the potential adoption and will schedule an appointment for a visit. Applications will be responded to in the order they are received.
Visits will be scheduled no later than 24 hours after staff has contacted the approved applicant. Applications are not required, but they are encouraged if there is interest in a specific pet.
