If you'd like to submit a tip anonymously, the Lewisville Police Department partners with Denton County Crime Stoppers. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,000 cash on tips leading to the arrest of an individual AND you remain completely anonymous. Please note that this is not "Text to 911" and does not generate an immediate police response. Using Denton County Crime Stoppers, you can submit a tip in the following ways:

**After submitting a tip, you will receive a TIP ID # and password. This is how you can communicate with the Crime Stoppers Coordinator.

Lewisville Police Department has joined Neighbors App by Ring.

  • Neighbors is a free app created for residents to connect and share hyper-local safety updates and information from reliable sources. Neighbors Public Safety Service is an interface that allows local public safety agencies to join Neighbors to help keep residents safe and informed.
  • LPD and other public safety agencies can only view what residents have posted publicly or what they share in response to a video request. LPD does not have access to users' Ring devices, live streams or personal information.
  • You do not need to own a Ring device or any home security system in order to participate on Neighbors. To join, download the Neighbors App for free in iOS, Android, or Amazon.

Submitting a crime tip will not generate immediate police response. Please do not use these methods to report a crime in progress or any issue that requires immediate police response. If you have a non-emergency issue that requires police response, please call 972.219.3640. If you have an emergency, please call 911. If you wish to make a police report, you may call the emergency or non-emergency number as appropriate, come to the Police Department in person, or submit a report online.
