Blue Ribbon Capital Projects

The Blue Ribbon Capital Projects Advisory Committee is an eight-member committee responsible for reviewing and prioritizing staff capital project requests leading to the development of a 10-year capital improvement plan. A final, prioritized capital projects plan along with recommended funding sources will be presented to City Council for consideration in November 2023 for a possible future bond election.

Blue Ribbon capital project requests are submitted to the advisory committee by city staff.

Timeline

September 2022-December 2022: Staff developed project proposals and invitations were sent out to Blue Ribbon Committee members

December 2022-April 2023: Staff presented 60+ projects to the Blue Ribbon Committee members and a bus tour of selected projects was done

April 2023-May 2023: Blue Ribbon Committee members ranked and finalized the project list

September 2023: Blue Ribbon Committee reconvenes

October 2023: Public input meetings scheduled

November 2023-December 2023: Final recommendations presented to City Council

February 2023-May 2024: Call for Election, public education, and Election Day
